FEATURED PROJECT / TECHNICAL PROFILE
Menangle Park — four stages of essential infrastructure.
Across Stages 4.1, 4.2, 4.3 and 4.4, Brazzo Civil contributed to the delivery of extensive sewer and potable water infrastructure for a major residential development. The construction scope required careful coordination between adjoining stages, excavation and pipe installation, maintenance structures and connections to existing infrastructure.
8.45 kmScheduled gravity sewer pipe across four stages
5.14 kmScheduled potable water pipe across Stages 4.1–4.3
DN100–225Water and sewer main sizes represented in the drawings
15 mStage 4.1 deep maintenance-hole design detail
Scope and specialist capability
The sewer design includes DN150 and DN225 SN8 PVC gravity mains, associated maintenance holes and chambers, and connections between stages. The water designs include DN100, DN150 and DN200 PN16 oPVC mains, hydrants, valves, tees, bends, thrust restraint and property services. Stage 4.4 water drawings are designated “M2M only” and show extensions and connections rather than a separately quantified pipe schedule.
Stage 4.1 incorporates specialist deep sewer infrastructure, including detailed reinforced concrete maintenance-hole construction drawings for depths to invert of up to 15 metres. The project illustrates the team's experience working with complex excavations, underground services, staged construction interfaces and Sydney Water requirements.
Technical quantities above are summed from the issued-for-construction drawing pipe schedules, not independently verified as-built measurements. The 15 m figure refers to the maintenance-hole design detail. Construction plans and the Stage 4.2 quality plan were used as reference documents.
